Small Business Sat 11/25/23
Hi all,
I'm Barbara, the new Outreach Director at KCP. We are planning to help Kutztown have a great Small Business Saturday on Nov 25th.
Some of the ways businesses can get involved are:
Decorating Contest - Each participating business can participate in our Window/Door Decorating Contest. Customers will be given ballots to vote for their favorite decorations. Ballots will be dropped off at the KCP office. Which business will win the Best Decorations Award
Artists in the Shops - Local artists will display and sell their art is supporting stores. Attendees are encouraged to visit each business to view and purchase the artist's work being featured there. We will attempt to supply an artist for all business that request to participate in this part of the day but cannot guarantee this.
Holiday Scavenger Hunt - Participating business will receive a holiday item (i.e. tin soldier, reindeer, Santa, candy cane) to have in their store for visitors to locate. When shoppers find the item the business will initial their game card. Cards will be brought to the KCP office to be entered in a raffle for a Kutztown gift basket. If you would like to donate an item for our Kutztown gift basket let me know. Our goal is drive foot traffic to all our participating businesses.
KCP will also have a meet & greet photo opportunity with Santa at the Strand Theater, a silent auction to benefit the Strand renovation project which will include tickets to several performing arts productions and holiday movie posters. Berks Ballet Theatre wil be in town to greet visitors as well.
So how do you get involved?
You can contact me at barbaravogelgesangkcp@gmail.com, text/call me at 484-781-3162, or leave me a message here with how you want to be a part of Small Business Saturday. As I get businesses confirmed I can promote them on social media, in a press release to our local radio stations and community bulletin boards as well as local print media. We are also including an ad in everyone's electric bill that will go out mid- November.
So join us as we start the holidays in Kutztown!
