The Kutztown Rotary Club announces the 7th annual Taste of Kutztown Fundraiser; Saturday, June 11th, 2016 from 12-5pm. Imagine strolling grass-lined pathways; perusing hand-made products created by passionate crafts people. Sample and purchase products from vineyards, and artisan vendors. 2016 guests will leisurely stroll, taste wine, beer, mead and cider selections along shaded pathways with exciting vendors just ahead of the next bend. Vibrant energy from great local musicians emanate from the Kutztown Park’s iconic band shell.
Attendance is free and open to the public. Tickets are required for the wine/beer tasting and are available in advance online and the day of at registration. The Taste of Kutztown Wine/ Beer Tasting now takes its place alongside the Folk Festival, the Lyons Fiddle Festival and the Bowers Chili Pepper Festival making northern Berks County a regional hotspot.
The region is known for its fertile, shale-rich soil creating a wonderful terroir for an expanding PA viticulture and enology industry. Taste for yourself why many PA wineries are winning awards in regional and national competitions. Lehigh Valley and Berks wines have been showcased in the Philly.com article, “A luscious tour of Lehigh Valley wine”.
