Potts’ Hot Dogs and Kutztown Community Library are joining together to celebrate the sixteenth annual National Education Association's (NEA) Read Across America Day on Wednesday, March 2, 2016.
NEA's Read Across America Day, which celebrates the joys of reading, expects more than 45 million readers, both young and old, to pick up a book and read.
To celebrate the fun and value of reading, Potts’ Hot Dogs and Kutztown Community Library are partnering together to combine story time and lunch. This unique event will take place at Potts’ U, located at 100 N Constitution Blvd. Children ages 3 and up will enjoy stories read to them by Kutztown Community Library’s Youth Librarian, Taylor Kutz. Children can also have their photos taken with the Potts’ Hot Dog mascot and enjoy a FREE kids meal (1 hot dog, fries and a drink).
“My favorite part of the day is reading bedtime stories to my two small children. I love how excited they get to explore new places and go on adventures,” says Potts’ U Owner, Jeremiah Warsing. “I view my hot dog shop as an extension of my home and am thrilled to invite the children of Kutztown in for lunch and a story to celebrate Read Across America Day.”
Registration for story time at Potts’ U is required. Families can sign up for this event by calling Kutztown Community Library at 610-683-5820 by February 24, 2016.
Originating in Bethlehem, PA in 1971, Potts’ Hot Dogs is a family-owned business. There are currently nine locations. Potts’ U is open Monday thru Thursday from 11:00 AM-8:00 PM and open late night Friday-Saturday until 2:30 AM..
