Ever wonder how plants work? Need to understand a bit more about plant science to make your garden thrive? Interested in the ancient technique of plant grafting as applied to the modern vegetable garden? Want to wow your neighbors with your own specialty grafted tomato plants? This workshop is for you!

We will cover the basics of plant biology as it relates to propagating plants for the home garden with special emphasis and hands-on instruction grafting specialty tomatoes plants. First part of the workshop will cover the basics of plant structure, development, requirements for growth and propagation techniques (including grafting!). The second half of the workshop will be dedicated to the magic of grafting! We will teach you hands-on how to graft tomato plants, combining one delicious fruit bearing plant with a vigorous rootstock to produce the summer’s best tomatoes!
